Maundy Thursday 2021

Please continue to offer up these petitions.

For the universal Church

The Church may live out its call to being a beacon of universal love and humble service towards all of creation.

For Pope Francis, all bishops, and priests

That they will be renewed in their fervour and zeal on this day, the anniversary of the Institution of the Priesthood.

For world leaders

That as nations curb the spread of the Covid-19 virus, leaders will reach out to those on the fringes of society who are left destitute, without income and food, and facilitate aid to them.

For all frontliners working amid the pandemic

That they be strengthened in their efforts to break the chain of infection. We also pray for all struggling with the financial and emotional strain of the pandemic, may they be comforted in their distress.

For those who have lost loved ones in this past one year

That the gift of Christ own body and blood will bring comfort to the broken hearted and those grieving; that they will also find solace and care from their families and BEC communities.

For families in this time of struggle

That the memory of the Last Supper will encourage us to offer our individual challenges and shortcomings to God; that we receive the healing powers of love and mercy to restore unity in families and relationships.

For our Elect and Confirmands

That they receive strength and wisdom to overcome personal struggles and habits that hinder their journey towards the Kingdom of God.

For our personal intentions
